Jacob's 50 miler

In July, Jacob's deacon's quorum (ages 11-13) hiked 55 miles in 5 days.  Then they rewarded themselves with a pool party and a day of white water rafting.  Where Jacob fell out of the boat during a rapid and it was very scary for him.  but a dad pulled him back in and he was fine. 

they took the ferry across Lake Chelan to get to their starting point. It rained for three days and Jacob had horrible blisters.  His hiking shoes were broken in, but he started chafing, and then tried walking differently so he wouldn't chafe, which gave him blisters on his toes.
