Summer fun

I took the summer off from blogging, but here are few pics off my phone.  we loved having Emily home from college for four  months this summer!  The older my kids get, the harder it is to get to them to want to leave the house.  they love to watch TV and hang out.  but we did manage to have a little fun this summer!
July 4th ward breakfast.  flag raising ceremony

Jacob saved up his money and bought a juicer this summer!  The first day we went through two Costco bags of oranges,  but turns out, he was super into it for about two weeks, and now it's packed away.  But he loves it and was so good about doing it all by himself.  plus the clean up.

Trent and Emily both lifeguarded at the neighborhood pool this summer.  If you look closely, that's Emily in the pool giving a swim lesson. Trent did have to jump in the pool once, but it turned out, it was just a kid pretending. YUCK

This random bird sat on our car for about an hour and we couldn't figure out where it came from.  maybe a missing pet?  but then it flew away and we never found out what happened to it.

This rocket from Costco kept the neighborhood entertained for about an hour, but it was way too hard to get it to work correctly.  In one hour, they were only able to get 2 launches.

Sammamish Farmer's Market

Our traditional hike to Franklin Falls the week before school starts.  I had to BEG them to get in the car.  I was sure once they got there they would enjoy it, but after 30 seconds, all of them were wanting to leave.  so we took some pictures and then left.  hiking fail.

the weekend before Emily left for college, she asked to go into Seattle one last time.

sometimes, on occasion, you might find my boys in the backyard, shooting squirrels with a BB gun.  They have never hit one, the squirrels are up way too high in our trees.  but we try to scare them away because they are SO loud all the time.  seriously, it wakes me up every morning and keeps going all day.

Jacob turned 13!!

Jacob hates cake, so he requested peanut butter bon bons, NOT dipped in chocolate. he is a peanut butter nut.
