first week of school 2015
The 10th grader: is SO happy. This year we transferred to a different high school, for many reasons. Her best friend, Cameron is at the new school and they have lunch together. Swim team is awesome. Our ward is split between these two high schools so she knows a lot of kids, and our house is actually right on the high school border so we are equal distance between the old and new high school. She came home the first day with a huge smile on her face and said, "I love it! I love my teachers, I love the feeling in the halls, walking around. I love this school."
This year she has a hard load of classes. Chemistry, Precalculus, AP Euro History, Honors English, Japanese 2, and choir. She is most worried about Precalculus, and says her honors English teacher looks and talks just like my mom!
Seminary doesn't start till next week, but high school starts early here. On a day with no seminary, she leaves at 6:30 am, and on a seminary day, she will leave at 5:40 am. She gets home around 5:30 pm from swim team so it is a long day and we miss her!
The 8th grader: is good. bummed he got a bottom locker at the very end of the hallway, anxiously waiting for cross country to start up in one more week and is enjoying being the oldest at the middle school.
The 4th grader: got the best, most awesome teacher! He loves his teacher so much. She loves the Seahawks and her room is decked out Seahawks style. I think it's going to be a great year. He was excited that 4th graders are allowed to check out 4 books, he got his first three ringed binder, which he loves to get out and show everyone in our family how he has organized it. And they are going on a field trip to the corn maze next month.
