My sweet Emily is turning 17 tomorrow so I thought I'd write 17 things about her.
1. Emily only listens to country music while driving
2. is obsessed with Hamilton.
3. favorite restaurant is Chipotle
4. has 4 tests on her birthday!
5. Is very thoughtful. Whenever she gets home she always says, "how can I help?" even though she might have tons of homework or other things to do.
6. favorite piece of jewelry is a necklace. She has TONS of necklaces and wears a different one each day.
7. Loves Christmas and started a Christmas countdown in September. Her goal is to eventually have enough Christmas sweaters or outfits to wear something different each day in December.
8. is in the school musical, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. Opening night is in 3 weeks.
9. favorite fruit--apple. She HAS to eat an apple every day.
10. is obsessive about her gel pens. if you borrow one and don't return it, she will hunt you down. She has a schedule of which color of pen to use on which day.
11. has spent the last 3 months doing healthy clean eating. 6 days of mostly fruits, veggies and protein. one cheat day a week. I've been very impressed with her will power to stick with this for so long.
12. started piano lessons this year. (again). she quit in 7th grade after 8 years of lessons. and then 4 years later it was, "mom, why did you let me quit piano?" ummm. maybe it was the constant yelling, crying and tantrums?? those were dark days.
13. loves to talk. we typically drive 20 minutes home from school and she will talk the entire time with me nodding along.
14. hates to be late. especially to seminary. each morning she is usually at the front door ready to go telling Trent to hurry up.
15. has a very organized backpack. She says her friends always know that if they need something, Emily will have it. tylenol, mints, hair tie, index cards, bandaids.
16. almost all of her phone time is spent on Pinterest. follow her here. 68 boards, and about 13,000 pins. boards like, wake up and make-up!, Harry Potter is my life, Swim for it! and My Future Wedding.
17. Hates the rain and clouds. Out of everyone in our family, she struggles the most with the weather. and Jacob is the exact opposite. He loves the clouds and hates the sun. it's so funny!
