Emily's senior prom

Senior prom was last week!  Emily's date was her friend, Chris, and they had a blast! 

the Dress:

We bought Emily's dress a year ago, in Utah.  Two things you need to know about Emily are:  She loves color, and she loves to stand out.  mission accomplished with this dress.  She wanted to be Belle, from Beauty and the Beast. Although when we bought it, we had the store remove two pettycoat layers to de-poof it a bit.   

Hair and Makeup:

Since I was out of town with Jacob in Wenatchee for a swim meet, we hired a gal to come to our house to do hair and makeup.  highly recommend!  It made getting ready totally stress free.  and then I got home about an hour before Emily left for prom.

The Prom Ask:

the funniest thing was the prom ask!  Chris did this poster because he knew that Emily's favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast. He had know idea that she already had a yellow evening gown and was planning on being Belle for prom.

The Dance:

was in downtown Seattle at the museum of Pop Culture.  called the MoPOP.   Emily said it was so much more fun than she thought it would be.  At our school, Prom is only for seniors.  unless your date is younger. but at least one of you has to be a senior.  There is currently a Marvel exhibit and lots of other stuff there to do and see besides actually dancing.  

Funniest Moment:

while dancing, Emily's date split his pants open!  and had to walk around the rest of the night with his suit coat wrapped around his waist.
