Jacob went to scout camp last week! Since he will be 12 in 2 weeks, they let him go. He was the youngest of 16 boys that went from our troop. He had the time of his life!! except for when he spilled boiling hot gravy Thursday night and got second degree burns on his hands and feet. But he still says he wishes he could still be there. He got 4 merit badges: rowing, swimming, pioneering and environmental science.

They went to Camp Meriwether, about 5 hours away in Oregon. They left at 3:45 AM!! Jake loved that there was a lake and the ocean. and sand dunes. They played infection in the sand dunes one night, and a boy fell asleep in his hiding place. The leaders ended up searching for about two hours. Everybody was in a panic. Jacob said it was very scary, but then finally, a leader found him, asleep in the sand dunes.
