we've been booed

 This week, since October 1st fell on a Monday, we decided to start the Halloween phantom up in our neighborhood.  We took treats to 3 families.  and then a few days later, we got booed!  So four times this week we've secretly delivered treats.

the last time, we had the funniest experience!  Just as Jake and Emily were walking up their driveway, the family drove home and pulled up.  Emily ran, but Jake froze like a deer in headlights.  literally, in their driveway with the car headlights shining on him.  He finally ran and we hid, waiting for them to go inside..  Two minutes later, Jake rang the doorbell and ran, but their 8th grader son and a few friends opened the door and chased Jake.  "It's a little kid!  Get him!"  They chased him down, over by me and Emily, who were hiding in the bushes.  and finally, I had to say "he's doing a surprise, be nice."  and they ran back home to see what we had left on the door.  It was hilarious.  Today, the kids were acting out the story.  Trent would be the car, then Jake would run by and pretend to freeze.  They are so funny.
