On the left is my sister, Lynne--who is leaving in two weeks to serve an LDS mission. in Toronto, Canada. While she was here, we visited the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, a little over an hour south of Seattle. My kids had sooooo much fun. We highly recommend this place!
The park is divided into three sections.
1--a 50 minute tram ride that drives you all around to see up close moose, deer, bighorn sheep, buffalo etc. It was really hard for me to give up my camera, but all my kids love taking pictures, so these are all their pictures. They did a great job!
2-- an open air zoo. We loved the bears the best. there was no glass! Bears, just a few feet away from us. There was a low fence, with a deep ravine (moat?) so the bear couldn't get across.
a quick stop at the info center to learn the differences between various animal skins. fox, wolf, coyote etc.
3--zip line/challenge courses. This might have been their favorite part. We did the easiest course, ages 6 and up. (there are 4 courses to choose from) But it was still a little too scary for Jake. He asked to get down after the first 2 obstacles. But then the nice guy in charge, let him skip the rest of the course and just do the zip line at the end. Trent and Emily would love to go back and try a harder course next time.
