the drops

While in Idaho, everybody ages 10 and up got to go to the drops.  Which means, jumping off a bridge and floating down about 1/2 a mile in the irrigation canal.  It was moving fast and there was a large rapid at the end which was kind of scary.  The kids loved it. It's fun for high school students.   Somehow, I was the only sibling in my family to never do the drops in high school.  I guess I wasn't cool enough! I swallowed a huge gulp of water and spent the rest of the day worrying about what I had just swallowed.  I did it three times and the kids did it four times.  Ryan was the photographer, driver.  He would pick us up at the end and drive us back to the bridge.
