Utah-Christmas

After Christmas, we spent three days in Utah with Ryan's family.  They had a ton of snow!  a little more than a foot.  The kids played outside for hours.  They especially loved, pouring soda on the snow and eating "snow cones"

 But unfortunately, Jacob hated it!  Even with the walker, he cried and kept saying he wanted to be done.

 We discovered a Sweet Tooth Fairy in Provo--East Bay.  yay!  We love this store and are happy more and more stores are opening up along the wasatch front.  The owner was the winner of last year's Cupcake Wars on TV.

I somehow didn't get any pictures of people!  Ryan's parents, or sister Kathy and her husband who were up visiting from Reno.  We loved meeting our neice Alayna's, new husband Casey and seeing the cute newlyweds.  They even brought their wedding DVD for everyone to watch.  Ryan was the only one from our family to fly out for the wedding, so the rest of us hadn't met Casey before.

 

 

stuffed to the max for the long car ride home.  and it was long.  Trent got the flu the last day in Utah.  on the drive home, it had passed to Emily.  She sat in the front, throwing up in a bag.  Then the freeway closed down for 6 hours, because of this bus accident.  We sat at a gas station for 2 hours with hundreds of other trucks and cars, nobody knew at the time how serious it was.  We finally ended up taking a detour.  a long detour.    But it was still worth it and still a great trip!

 

 I don't know why Jake can't smile normally for a picture.  It's been almost 2 years since we've done family pictures and I'd like to do some this summer.  but this kid has got to learn to smile first!
