Friday we woke up at the usual 6:30 am time, and discovered that it had snowed about 2 inches. Everything shut down and school was cancelled. We all immediately went back to bed and slept in till 8:15. We spent the morning sledding. It started raining in the afternoon and was gone by nightfall. We played games, had hot chocolate and watched The Santa Clause. (although our top 2 Christmas movies of all time are still Home Alone and Elf) It was a great day! Christmas vacation started a day early for us. except for Ryan. He braved the roads and left for work at 6:00 am.
funny story. so...we have 2 crappy, old sleds and one awesome sled, that Jake got for Christmas last year. Jake was really good at sharing his sled with Emily and Trent. Emily said she overheard Jake getting frustrated with the old sled and calling it, "the damn sled!" She asked him where he learned that word and he said he didn't know. then she told me and there was a little conversation about good and bad words!! It's always interesting when little kids are picking up swear words. but on the plus side, he used it in the right way! and now the two "damn sleds" are in the garbage.

LOL! That sled story is hilarious! Ashton did the same thing to Cameron, when he was backing up the truck one day. Cam drove on the lawn and asked Cam "what in the hell are you doing?" Cam was so shocked, he could hardly respond. They talked about good words too and I haven't heard it since. Hopefully he didn't pick it up from me!
